Planning a wedding at Danby Castle is an exciting experience, and a little preparation can make a huge difference to how relaxed your day feels.

After photographing weddings for many years, I've learned that the most beautiful photographs are rarely created by spending more time in front of the camera.

They happen when couples have the time to enjoy every moment naturally.

One of the biggest mistakes couples make is creating a wedding timeline that feels rushed.

By allowing a little extra time between each part of the day, you'll feel calmer, your guests will feel more relaxed and your photographs will naturally become more authentic.


Golden Hour is Worth Ten Minutes

If your wedding takes place during spring or summer, I always recommend setting aside around ten minutes before sunset.

The light becomes beautifully soft and flattering, creating some of the most romantic portraits of the entire day without keeping you away from your guests for long.
